Re-open from 8th June 2020

To all our friends, family, colleagues, and customers.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your support over the past few months. On the 23rd of March we were ordered like many other businesses to close our doors due to the threat of Coronavirus. We would like to thank our staff for helping the business conduct this closure in a controlled manner.

We have been able to start rebuilding our aftersales operation over the past few weeks and are pleased to announce in accordance with the latest government update, we can open our Sales Departments from Monday 8th June. We have no doubt the time of lockdown has been very different for everyone. For some, a time to relax & enjoy with family, others a time to reflect & plan, however some people may now be facing financial hardship and there are many who are grieving for lost loved ones. Whatever your plans for the coming days, weeks & months are - we will as always be aiming to bring you the best value in new and used cars and provide an exceptional aftersales experience, but if there is anything more we can do we would like to help.

Please note our opening hours have been reduced to 9:00am-5.30pm Monday Wednesday & Friday and 9.00am-8:00pm Tuesday & Thursday and 10:00am-2:00pm on Saturday (Sales only - Parts & Service closed Sat) appointments outside of these opening times will be offered where possible.

We now have a skeleton team in place to facilitate the re-opening of the business we hope to see the return of all our staff as soon as the demand for our products and services dictates. We have introduced some new procedures throughout the business to ensure the safety of everyone.

General Procedures

Aftersales Procedures

  • Drop off point for drop off and collection of vehicles
  • All vehicles sanitised and increased vehicle protection fitted
  • Waiting area expanded to allow for social distancing
  • Bookings on appointment only basis

We ask that you arrive as close to the time of your appointment as possible to avoid queuing, the drop off point is located as soon as you enter the building, you have no need to enter the main service reception (upstairs) unless you have booked a waiting appointment.

Sales Procedures

  • Vehicle sanitising of all touch points - cars will be locked
  • Customers are encouraged to make an appointment (maximum of two people per appointment)
  • Unaccompanied test drives

We are encouraging customers to register their interest in new and used vehicles and offers online, one of our sales team will contact you to arrange an appointment, on arrival we will do a static demonstration and quotation ahead of an unaccompanied test drive. If a customer arrives without an appointment, we will endeavour to assist you as soon as possible but priority will be given to customers with appointments.

From Monday 18th May we will re-open our Parts & Service Centre at reduced capacity with one Service Advisor & Parts Advisor to take bookings and two Vehicle Technicians to carry out mechanical work.

We are also pleased to announce that we will introduce remote sales on our used vehicles with virtual appointments available.

Please bear with us as we work through enquiries and requests with limited staff at this time.

Service & Parts

  • Limited staff available from 9am - 3:30pm, Monday to Thursday | 9am - 3pm Friday who can deal with your servicing and parts enquiries and bookings.
  • Social distancing measures are in place so please follow advice & guidance from our team.
  • We will sanitise your car before carrying out any work on it with gloves and cover any touchpoints such as handles, steering wheel, gear stick, handbrake etc... Then sanitise your car again after work has been carried out, ready for collection.
  • Our waiting room will remain closed, NO waiting is allowed within our premises - you should arrange collection if you can from a family member in same household. If this is not possible we can arrange for collection and delivery of your car, or a sanitised courtesy car (if available) for a fee of £25.
  • A compulsory Air Conditioning cleanser will be applied to all cars to clean the air circulation / ventilation at a cost of £19.99.
  • Contactless payment is preferred either remotely over the phone, or by card reader on-site.
  • Please do not visit our dealerships for service & repair without a prior appointment. You can contact us by the below methods, email is the best way to get in touch and one of our team will get back to you when we can.

  • If you decide to purchase, we can arrange home delivery to your door (a charge may apply depending on distance).

COVID-19 Message - Temporary Closure

Update from 23rd March 2020

Dear valued customer,

We want to be a responsible business for both our employees and customers at this time.

Which is why we have decided due to the escalating situation caused by Covid-19 (Coronavirus), Saltmarine Cars has taken the decision to temporally close our showrooms and service centre effective from Monday 23rd March at 18:00 until further notice.

If you have a car on order and are expecting delivery or collection, or have a service booking with us don't worry we will be in contact with you to arrange this with you.

We are still here for you

Looking for a car? You can still browse new and used cars on our website from the comfort of your home via smartphone, tablet or computer.

You can reserve any used car on our website for only £199 for 48 hours.

We offer a collection & delivery service for our customers with Service / Aftersales bookings & will facilitate such requests from customers who are self-isolating,

COVID-19 Message

Dear Valued Customer,

We would like to advise all customers that Saltmarine Cars showrooms and service centre continues to operate as normal.

As you would expect, the health and safety of both our valued customers & our employees is our highest priority. As a result, we are closely monitoring and following on-going government and public health advice in relation to the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) situation in Northern Ireland.

We are committed to maintaining our high standards of service at our dealerships, so thought we would share with you some of the procedures we have put in place to safeguard our staff and customers to keep our doors open:

WHAT WE ARE DOING:

  • We have asked our staff to desist from shaking hands with customers for the time being, and to avoid close contact
  • We are regularly disinfecting high traffic areas and touchpoints such as door handles and handrails at least hourly in addition to daily deeps cleans
  • All staff are regularly washing their hands with hot water and soap before and after any customer engagement
  • Disinfectant wipes are available to use before / after test driving any vehicle
  • Tissues, hand sanitisers, disposable hand towels and bins are readily available throughout the building and we ask staff & customers to ensure used tissues are placed in the bin immediately and hands then washed or sanitised

We understand that despite these precautions, you may be unable or unwilling to visit our dealership during this time. If this is the case, please be aware of a number of additional measures we have taken that could alleviate this for you:

ADDITIONAL MEASURES:

  • You can reserve online any used vehicle on our website for only £199 as a fully refundable deposit
  • If there is a vehicle that you are interested in on our website https://www.saltmarine.com/used-cars/ please contact us via any of the methods online and we can arrange to take a bespoke video of the vehicle and send it to you at home
  • Depending on your location, and on receipt of a fully refundable deposit, we can arrange to deliver the vehicle to your home for a test drive. All contact points including the doors, steering wheel, gearstick, dash area and seat will be disinfected on delivery and collection
  • If you decide to purchase, or already are waiting to collect a vehicle, we can arrange home delivery to your door (a charge may apply depending on distance)
  • If your vehicle requires a service, repair or an MOT we can arrange a collection and delivery service (a charge will apply), and the vehicle will be washed and steering wheel, gearstick, dash area and seat will be disinfected on the vehicle’s return to you
  • If you wish to make a vehicle viewing or service appointment we can also arrange for this to take place at a specific time when typically the dealership is a little quieter. Please mention this on the telephone, email or online booking form when booking

We are very much open for business for our customers and staff and thank you for your continued support at this time. We will continue to monitor the situation and follow any health advice and issue updated guidance as required.
