Designed by the pursuit of performance
Introducing the Hyundai i30 N – the first in a new line of high performance road cars to launch under the Hyundai N sub-brand. The i30 N is born on the track and engineered for driving fun.
Power. Intelligently applied
The Hyundai i30 N’s powerful T-GDi engine generates 353 Nm torque from 1,500 – 4,700 rpm, rising to a maximum of 378 Nm when in overboost. i30 N is therefore teamed with advanced racing inspired features including a launch control system which manages engine torque off the line. Plus a quick-shifting 6 speed manual transmission with shift timing indicator and rev matching technology to achieve perfect downshifts every time.
These systems ensure the power of i30 N is used to its full potential while creating a pure connection between car and driver. A connection that’s enhanced by the variable exhaust valve system, which alters the amount of exhaust noise depending on the selected driver mode.
Engine Power 275 PS | 0 - 62 mph 6.1 seconds | Top Speed 155 mph
Inspired by Motorsport
It’s not just the unique Performance Blue paintwork that’s inspired by Hyundai Motorsport’s world rally cars. The i30 N’s aggressive bumpers, air intakes and rear spoiler apply racing dynamics, using natural airflow to reduce turbulence and lift, providing better balance at speed.
In high performance driving, small details make a big difference. Under the skin, larger, uprated brakes are complimented by lowered, electronically controlled suspension (ECS). An electronic limited slip differential (E-LSD) on performance pack editions improves traction and handling.
Designed around the driver, exclusive sports seats hint at the i30 N’s potential. High performance driving data is displayed on an 8-inch touchscreen in addition to satellite navigation and entertainment features such as Apple CarPlay & Android Auto.
Driving dynamics can be optimised by switching between 5 available driving modes. At the touch of a button, the i30 N’s suspension, engine output and even sound can be altered to better suit your driving environment, and road conditions.
The interior is focused on connecting the driver with the car at all touch points. On the left side of the steering wheel, drivers can select three standard drive modes: Normal, Sport and Eco. On the right, the driver has direct access to the chequered flag N button for the N-mode, or the customised setting which is visible on the navigation screen. For better engine control during gear shifting, drivers can activate the rev-matching control system by using the decicated rev button just above the N button.
The electronic instrument cluster is specifically made for passionate drivers. The shift timing indicator positioned at the top centre of the cluster indicates when to shift gears for optimal race track driving performance. The red zone of the variable LED rev-counter changes according to the driving performance and varies with the engine’s oil temperature. The i30 N features uniquely designed high-performance sport seats with powerful lumbar support. Extendable seat cushions further enhance stability and comfort for the driver and front passenger.
High-performance colour range
Because of Hyundai Motor’s motor sport heritage, the i30 N comes with the exclusive Performance Blue paint – a colour introduced at the beginning of Hyundai’s WRC engagement and has represented the N line-up ever since. Altogether, customers can choose from six different exterior colours. Besides Performance Blue, the range includes Clean Slate, Polar White, Micron Grey and Phantom Black or Engine Red.
