The new Ford Ranger is finally here and it is a purpose built for nature.
The new Ford Ranger delivers a rewarding acceleration with the advanced new 10-speed automatic transmission. It also uses real-time adaptive shift-scheduling which enables the transmissions to change to adapt to changing conditions. If you're cruising down the motorway or on difficult road surfaces, you will always be in the right gear at the right time, you needn't have to worry.
The new Ranger is now more powerful, more efficient and has lower emissions than ever before, thanks to the next generation 2.0-litre Ford EcoBlue diesel engines. There are three powertrains available which offer up to 213PS of horsepower and 500Nm of torque so you're certainly guaranteed to find the right one for you.Whichever engine you decided to choose, they all meet the stringent Euro 6.2 emissions standards.
For the first time ever, the new Ranger is available with a built in FordPass Connect modem. The system delivers a range of benefits which are useful to every customer. The new technology includes 4G LTE WiFi for up to 10 devices and real-time traffic, which updates you straight to your in-car navigation system. There are also advanced remote features which allow you to control and monitor your Ranger no matter where you are. You can also use your phone to track and locate your Ranger, or lock and unlock the doors remotely.
Assertive new Ranger styling delivers a powerful presence on the road. Enhancements include a revised front bumper design and a new grille, the central horizontal bar now split along its length into two slim sections. New premium colour options include Diffused Silver and Blue Lightning, and higher-series versions feature premium xenon headlamps and LED daytime running lights.
The new Ranger engine line-up will be led by the powerful Bi-turbo version of the 2.0-litre EcoBlue engine, delivering 213 PS and 500 Nm of torque – up by 13 PS and 30 Nm compared with the current 3.2-litre TDCi diesel – for greater load-hauling capability.
Delivering class-leading ability to wade through water up to 800 mm deep, and with 230 mm of ground clearance, new Ranger is designed and engineered to comfortably handle extreme terrains whether for work or lifestyle pursuit. A 29-degree approach angle and 21-degree departure angle enable drivers to feel confident when taking on steep obstacles. Off-road strengths are matched by towing capability of up to 3,500 kg and payload capacity of up to 1,252 kg.
