Advanced Technologies SYNC 3 is our most advanced version to date. It’s faster and easier to use, with enhanced voice commands and even more functionality. The new interface has larger buttons for improved usability, and the 8” Touchscreen now features pinch-and-swipe gestures found on smartphones and tablets for even more intuitive navigation. SYNC 3 also features AppLink, Apple’s CarPlay and Android Auto, to display your smartphone’s information on the touchscreen. (Optional on Zetec).
Active Park Assist works out if your Kuga can fit into a parking space. If it can, the system will steer you safely in while you operate the gears and pedals – whether you’re parallel or perpendicular parking. When you’re ready to set off again, it will even steer you out of the space. (Optional on Zetec and Titanium).
Active City Stop is designed to help you reduce the impact of accidents and, in some cases, avoid them completely. If the system detects the car in front slows down unexpectedly, and you’re travelling at a speed of under 30mph, it automatically applies the brakes. (Optional Feature)
The Intelligent All-Wheel Drive system constantly monitors driving conditions. As it does so, it determines how much grip, cornering, balance and responsiveness is needed and fine-tunes itself. Whether wet, dry or icy, the system will send extra power to the front or rear axle as and when needed, ensuring exceptional handling at all times. At low speeds, the system improves traction. For instance, if the front wheels are on ice and the rear ones aren’t, extra torque will be sent to the rear where it’s needed. And because the system only activates when needed, it saves fuel in less challenging conditions.
